ballots and bullets
succumbing to intro-
uterine pseudo-coups
gestating as guardians
of the flame doused
by a new-mother's
lactational sprays
past generations
of babies
having been
suckled
on necrotic
nipples
spew projectiles
of noxious
vomit
as gas-riddled
infants
screech and gasp
in the ghastly
agonies
of public squares...
