tea sprinkled with tansy
Spanning dense mats
along a central crease
of prominent pink
as a refreshing drink
with richly sweet
conical seeds
prickly, bristly
Seemingly endless
sculptural splendor
with a penchant for caresses
subtly and directly
mixed with blousy figures
difficult to grasp
as harrowing histories
handsomely cross-hatched
and profusely patterned
in a familial tapestry
of fraying strands...
