Giving Free Reign

" Giving Free Reign "

by Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán

for Rebecca, Russ
Kenny, Jimmy
Mark, Danielle
& Eric...

Well healed as site-
specific and always
riveting
with an acid tongue
and droll delivery
full of jokey
but largely
charm-free
preconceived
theater
like featured
premieres
of follies
with an underlying
high-minded
muddle
in the middle
of nothing
but the monotony
of a feckless freckle
accessed as imperfection
instead of adolescent innocence
Slyly reinvented, increasingly
smothering and bewilderingly belittling
Directly in the sweet
spot of an odyssey
as an emerging body
inadvertently
exposed to free uploads
acquiring their own potency
with blistering notes
in long-running shows
as a clown known
all over the globe
In empathy
with unknown
enemies
while settling
for an unmentionable
tragic mashup
with a rotating cast
Ambitiously staged as aging
giving free reign to fascination
and poetic observation
as opposed to naysayers
in semi-stages of pseudo-sacred
waxings and wanings of gansta strains
