Mom Suzán
Both bold and restrained
seemingly unrelated
tiny yet intimidating
when seen in a sea
of leafless trees
barely glistening
with big gaps in between
as a migrant thrush
fluffs up its deep
red-feathered breast
with the intent of nesting...
