Forget Seeing Paris

" Forget Seeing Paris "

by Suzán Jiván, Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán

Lacking permission
for nonlethal assistance
as an era drifts
towards submissiveness

looking remarkably familial
like conflicted officials
with observers' predictions
of deliberative vulnerability

increasingly worrying
during ticker-tape parades
with agreements for more talks later
expected to raise the wayside
of tumultuous reigns

as aspirations
of unfortunate tastes
sidling up later
to all purpose tables
along cinderblock hallways
of subterranean space

paddling to safe places
of hand-painted faces
by carrying the days
as screenplays

as retro-grade
real estate agents
slice sunflower-seed cake
behind highly-glazed
window bays of credit takers...
