Mom Suzán
Like an alleged culprit
posturing with individual
imperfect differences
shoulders back
as soon-to-be grads
of largely alas
self-hate mail
being carried
on the backs of snails
while taking chances
gliding on the slime trails
of the entirely unlikely
slowly unrealized
getting tagged as slackers
after sliding backwards
onto ticky-tacky
narrow paths
stripped down to shape wear
as a fond fond farewell
to mannequins wearing Spanx
while liking lycra on thighs
one leg at a time
being calmed
by steeped
chamomile
spiked by sake
for the psyche
mixing absurdity
with sweetness
sweating out singles
inhaling jasmine
diminishing misgivings
all with a fixed grin...
