With full-fledged intent
in glass and metal
part cactus part mollusk shell
hung and restrung with worry
tending toward the twee
of idiosyncratic beauty
loosely copied
looking smart
as cultural objects
shown only in the moment
all done over
suggesting the suavely old
like concrete poetry
most notably
uncannily reimagined technology with aboriginal
humility and classical humanity
after fossilizing mammals
via grafting minute hairs
onto handcuffs of plastic...
