hard to please

somehow managing
in select cities
shrewishly rising
not seeming to mind
being disliked
as poignant silences
a cappella grapevines
writhingly malign
anguish and violence
dizzying soliloquies
far from engrossing
trained ears
mutually needy
sent out streaming
via proxy...
